Hear the drums taken out
This is a real 4-stem split of Sunlight, a song we generated ourselves. The Drums player is what the remover takes away; the other three are what goes into your drumless MP3.
Listen to the drums stem first. If you hear the whole kit and little else, the drumless track will be clean. Hand claps and shakers usually count as drums too.
A practice routine with a drumless track
- Learn the part first. Loop the drums stem and write down the groove, fills and where the crashes land.
- Find the tempo with the browser BPM finder, so you can set your click to match.
- Slow it down. Use the speed changer to drop to 80 percent without changing the pitch, then build back up.
- Play over the drumless MP3 with headphones, or through a speaker with your kit, from start to finish.
- Record yourself over it and compare with the original drums stem.
Teachers can hand students a drumless track and the drums stem together: one to hear the target, one to play over.
One file or separate stems
| Download | What it contains | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Drumless MP3 | Vocals, bass and other mixed together | You just want to play along |
| Vocals, Bass, Other stems | Each part as its own MP3 | You want the bass louder or the vocals quieter |
| Drums stem | The drum kit only | You want to learn or transcribe the original part |
The drumless MP3 is built in your browser from the stems you already have, so it costs no extra credits and the song is not uploaded again.

Frequently asked questions
What is a drum remover?
A drum remover is a tool that takes the drum kit out of a finished song and leaves everything else. TuneSplit does it with the Demucs htdemucs AI model, which splits a song into vocals, drums, bass and other, then mixes all but the drums into one drumless MP3.
How do I remove drums from a song for free?
Upload the song to the tool above with 4 stems, wait for the split, and tap Download drumless MP3. It is free with no sign-up: unlimited in your browser with no upload, or 1 fast server split a day up to 10 minutes.
Do I get one drumless file or separate stems?
Both. The Download drumless MP3 button gives you one ready-to-play file. The vocals, bass, other and drums stems are also there as separate MP3s if you want to rebalance the mix or learn the original part.
Will every drum sound be removed?
The full kit usually is, including kick, snare, cymbals, claps and most percussion. A drum sound that was layered into a synth or sampled as part of a loop can stay in the other stem, and so in the drumless mix.
Can I slow the drumless track down for practice?
Yes. Download the drumless MP3, then use the free speed changer in your browser to slow it down without changing the pitch. The BPM finder tells you the original tempo for your click.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The tool runs in Safari and Chrome on iPhone and Android. Use Fast mode on a phone, then tap Download drumless MP3 to save the file to Files or Downloads.
Can I split a song without uploading it, for free and without limits?
Yes. Choose In your browser above the drop zone. The same Demucs htdemucs model runs on your own device, so the file is never uploaded and there is no daily limit, for 2 or 4 stems and songs up to 8 minutes. The first run downloads the 172 MB model once. It is slower than the server, usually a few minutes for a 3-minute song, and works best in a recent Chrome, Edge or Safari on a laptop or desktop.
Can I post a drum cover over the drumless track?
Drum covers on video platforms are common, but the song is still the rights holder's. Many platforms handle this through content claims rather than takedowns. For practice at home, a drumless track of any song you own is fine.
