How TuneSplit works
A small, independent music studio in the browser: write a song from one sentence, then split it, change its key, find its tempo and turn it into a lyric video.
Songs: two models, two versions
Every generation runs your prompt through two different music models at the same time — MiniMax Music v2 and ACE-Step — and gives you both versions. In our tests on 2026-10-18 the ACE-Step version was usually ready in 10–30 seconds and the MiniMax version in about 60–95 seconds. Two models disagree in useful ways: one may nail the chorus, the other the arrangement. A generation costs 10 credits; any version that fails returns its credits automatically.
Lyrics
Lyrics are written by a large language model from your topic, style, mood and structure (verse, chorus, bridge), then checked by a moderation filter before they are shown or sung. You can edit every line before making the song.
Stems and vocal removal
The vocal remover, stem splitter and vocal isolator use Demucs (htdemucs), an open-source source-separation model from Meta research, run on cloud GPUs. A 3-minute song usually takes 20–60 seconds. Uploads go straight from your browser to private storage and are deleted within 24 hours. They are never used for training.
BPM, key, pitch and lyric videos
These run entirely in your browser with the Web Audio API: tempo from onset autocorrelation, key from a pitch-class profile matched against major and minor key templates, pitch shifting with tempo kept constant, and lyric videos rendered to MP4 on a canvas. Nothing is uploaded.
What is free
30 credits every day (3 generations = 6 songs up to 2 minutes), 5 lyric generations, 3 stem files of up to 10 minutes, and unlimited BPM, pitch and watermarked lyric videos. Free songs are for personal, non-commercial use. See pricing.
What we will not do
- No voice cloning and no "AI covers" in a real singer's voice.
- No pages that offer instrumentals of commercial hit songs.
- No training on your uploads.
