What kinds of noise it handles
| Noise | Result | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Hiss, microphone self-noise | Strongly reduced | Steady noise is the easiest |
| Fan, air-con, computer hum | Strongly reduced | |
| Traffic, wind in the distance | Reduced | Close wind gusts may remain |
| Keyboard or mouse clicks | Reduced | Loud taps can leak through |
| Other voices, TV, radio | Hard | Sounds like speech are kept |
| Music playing behind you | Reduced, not removed | For music use the vocal remover |
Tips
- A lower strength keeps a more natural voice; a higher one cuts more noise but can sound processed.
- Clean once, then adjust loudness in your editor. The output is levelled to a standard speech loudness.
- Keep the original file in case you want a different strength.
- To get the music out of a clip and keep the voice, use the remove music from video tool instead.
We do not store your audio. Your browser shrinks it to a small file, sends it over HTTPS to our API, and we pass it to our AI provider (fal.ai) for the job; the result comes back to your browser. Do not use it for recordings you are not allowed to share with a processor.
Limits
- Speech recordings up to 10 minutes. 1 free clean-up a day, then 5 credits.
- Built for voice. Music mixes are not cleaned; they are damaged.
- Not a forensic tool: do not rely on it to recover unintelligible audio.
Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
The first clean-up each day is free, no sign-up. After that 5 credits each.
Can it remove noise from a video?
Drop the MP4 or MOV. You get the cleaned audio as WAV or MP3; it does not re-render the video.
Will it remove music in the background?
It lowers it but does not remove it cleanly. Use the remove music from video tool for that.
Why does my voice sound robotic?
Strength is too high. Lower the slider and clean the original again.
What is the file limit?
10 minutes of speech per file.
Is my audio uploaded?
A small copy made in your browser is sent over HTTPS for processing by our AI provider, fal.ai. We do not store it.
Does it work on music or instruments?
No. It is made for speech.
