Free AI Song Generator with Two Versions per Prompt

Type a sentence about the song you want, or paste your own lyrics, pick a style, a mood and a vocal, and TuneSplit writes and produces a complete track. Every request comes back as two different versions, so you can choose the take you like instead of gambling on a single result. No sign-up is needed at all.

TuneSplit is an AI song generator that turns a text description or your lyrics into a full song with vocals or as an instrumental. No sign-up is needed: each browser gets 30 free credits a day, which give you 3 generations, which is 6 songs, up to 2 minutes each, for personal use.

What an AI song generator actually does

An AI song generator is a music model wrapped in a simple form. You supply intent, such as a genre, a feeling, a topic or a full set of lyrics, and the model returns audio: a sung vocal, drums, bass, harmony and an arrangement that rises and falls over the length of the track. There is no keyboard to learn and no recording session to book. The skill you bring is deciding what you want to hear.

TuneSplit runs two separate models behind one button. MiniMax Music v2 is the slower, richer option that tends to produce more developed vocals and sections. ACE-Step is a fast model that often answers within 10 to 30 seconds, which makes it handy for testing an idea before you commit to a longer wait. Because both receive the same prompt, you get a genuine second opinion rather than a re-roll of the same sound.

The output is a normal audio file, not a locked-in project. Each song gets an inline player, an MP3 download and a public share page you can send to a friend, drop into a message or post anywhere a link works.

Three ways to start a song

People arrive with very different raw material, so the generator accepts three kinds of input. Pick the one that matches what you already have.

Describe it

Write a sentence or two about genre, instruments, tempo and the scene you want. TuneSplit can also write the lyrics for you from that description. This is the quickest route if you only have a vibe, for example a road trip song with warm synths and handclaps.

Paste your lyrics

If you have already written words, paste them in and the model sings them as written. Section labels such as verse and chorus help it place the hook. If you do not have lyrics yet, the free lyrics generator gives you 5 drafts a day, and one click sends the result straight to the song generator.

Use a template

Templates cover the occasions people ask for most: birthday, gift, brand jingle and study song. You fill in a name or a topic and the form builds a sensible prompt for you, which is a good way to learn what a strong prompt looks like.

Real examples: prompt in, song out

These players are unedited generations made while building the site, not mock-ups. The first pair uses the exact same prompt and lyrics on both models, so you can hear how the two versions differ. The prompt was: upbeat indie pop, bright female vocal, warm synths, claps, summer road trip feeling, 112 bpm.

Sunlight (version A)Prompt: Upbeat indie pop, bright female vocal, warm synths, claps, summer road trip feeling, 112 bpmLyrics: Windows down and the radio low / Chasing the light on the coast road slow … Sunlight, sunlight, carry us homeMiniMax Music v2 · 2:30 long · ready in 94 s · unedited output
Sunlight (version B)Prompt: Upbeat indie pop, bright female vocal, warm synths, claps, summer road trip feeling, 112 bpmLyrics: Same lyrics as version A — a second take with a different arrangementACE-Step · 1:44 long · ready in 27 s · unedited output

Sunlight A came from MiniMax Music v2: 2:30 long, finished in 94 seconds. Sunlight B came from ACE-Step: 1:44 long, finished in 27 seconds. Same words, different arrangement, different pacing. If you want a first draft fast, listen to B while A renders.

The next example shows that style words matter. The prompt was: boom bap hip hop, confident male rap vocal, dusty vinyl drums, jazzy piano loop, late night city. It is 1:08 and took 59 seconds.

Late ShiftPrompt: Boom bap hip hop, confident male rap vocal, dusty vinyl drums, jazzy piano loop, late night cityLyrics: Clocked in at nine when the city goes blue / Neon on the puddles and the bus running through … Late shift, late shift, grinding till the lightMiniMax Music v2 · 1:08 long · ready in 59 s · unedited output

Notice how little the prompt contains: a genre, a vocal type, two sound details and a setting. You do not need a paragraph. Concrete nouns such as vinyl drums or fingerpicked guitar steer the sound more than adjectives like amazing or epic.

How to write a prompt that works

Good prompts read like a short brief to a session band. Lead with the genre, add the vocal, name one or two instruments and finish with a mood or a scene. Add a tempo if you care about it, such as 90 bpm for a slow groove or 140 for something that pushes.

  • Genre first: indie pop, boom bap, acoustic folk ballad, country, cinematic.
  • Vocal: bright female, gentle male, or instrumental if you want no singing.
  • Two or three sound details: warm synths, dusty drums, soft cello, claps.
  • A scene or feeling: late night city, nostalgic and tender, summer road trip.
  • Optional tempo in bpm, and a structure hint in your lyrics (verse, chorus, bridge).

Avoid asking for a specific living artist's sound or a famous song. TuneSplit does not do that: there is no voice cloning and no covers in a real singer's voice. Describe the qualities you like instead, such as raspy, airy, laid back or punchy, and the model will interpret them.

Speed, length and what free means

These numbers come from timing real generations. The ACE-Step version usually returns in 10 to 30 seconds. The MiniMax version takes roughly 60 to 95 seconds. Your first playable version normally arrives within a minute, and you can listen while the second finishes.

One generation costs 10 credits and returns two songs. If a generation fails, the credits are refunded automatically. Credit packs are also available: 200 credits for $4.90 or 600 credits for $12.90, valid for 12 months, which suits people who only need a few extra songs.

TuneSplit vs other AI song generators

The category is crowded, and several rivals are strong products. Suno has a large community and a deep catalogue of public songs. Udio is popular with people who like to iterate on a track. aisong.io and aisongmaker.io are focused, form-based tools with daily free credits. This table lists what each publishes publicly, as of Oct 2026. Prices change often, so check each pricing page before you pay anyone.

Where TuneSplit differs is the workflow around the song. You can try the generator without registering, you hear two models at once, and when the song is done you can split it into vocals, drums, bass and other without leaving the site. Where others differ is scale: Suno and Udio have larger user communities and more public inspiration to browse, and TuneSplit does not claim otherwise.

After the song: stems, tempo and lyric videos

A generated song is often the start of a project, not the end. TuneSplit keeps the follow-up tools on the same site. The stem splitter separates any track into vocals and music, or into vocals, drums, bass and other, using the Demucs htdemucs model. Below is the four-stem split of Sunlight A, the first 60 seconds, which took 88 seconds.

For your own generated songs you get a free 30-second stem preview, and Pro adds full-length WAV stems for 20 credits. The BPM and key finder tells you the tempo and key of the result if you want to mix it with other material, and it runs fully in your browser. The lyric video maker turns a song and its lyrics into a 9:16 or 16:9 MP4, rendered in the browser with a small Made with TuneSplit mark on free exports.

Prefer something social? Daily Song gives everyone the same theme each day. You make a song for it, submit it, vote on others (3 votes a day) and build a streak.

Rights, safety and fair use

Free songs are for personal, non-commercial use: sharing with friends, a family video, a school project, a private playlist. For monetized videos, client work or ads, the paid commercial licence is the route. Read the Terms page for the exact wording before you publish anywhere that earns money.

TuneSplit does not clone voices and does not make covers in a real singer's voice. Lyrics are moderated, and the Terms page lists a contact for takedown requests. If you upload audio to any TuneSplit tool, upload only audio you have the rights to use. Uploads to the splitter go to private storage and are deleted within 24 hours, and they are never used for training.

Frequently asked questions

Is this AI song generator really free?

Yes, with limits. There is no sign-up. Each browser gets 30 free credits every UTC day, enough for 3 generations, and each generation returns 2 songs, so 6 songs a day. Free songs run up to 2 minutes and are for personal, non-commercial use. Paid plans lift the length and add a commercial licence.

Do I need to sign up?

No. You can open the page, describe a song and generate it straight away. The daily free credits are counted per browser and your songs are saved in this browser under My songs, so there is nothing to register. There is no card needed for the free tier, and the free allowance resets at 00:00 UTC.

How long does it take to make a song?

In our timed runs the ACE-Step version usually finished in 10 to 30 seconds and the MiniMax Music v2 version in roughly 60 to 95 seconds. The first playable version typically appears within a minute. Longer songs and busy periods can take more time, and if a generation fails the credits are refunded automatically.

Why do I get two versions of every song?

Every generation runs through two different models, MiniMax Music v2 and ACE-Step, using your same prompt and lyrics. They arrange and sing differently, so you get a real choice instead of one take. Both count as a single generation of 10 credits, and you can download either or both as MP3.

Can I use the songs commercially?

Free songs are for personal, non-commercial use. Commercial use, such as monetized YouTube videos, ads, podcasts you sell or client work, needs the Pro licence, which is $9.90 a month or $99 a year. Always read the Terms page for the current wording before you publish for money.

Can I use my own lyrics?

Yes. Switch to lyrics mode, paste your words and add section labels like verse, chorus and bridge so the model places the hook where you intend. If you only have a topic, the free lyrics generator writes drafts, 5 free per day, and one click sends the result into the song generator.

What styles, moods and vocals can I choose?

Built-in styles include pop, lo-fi hip hop, acoustic folk, rock, R&B, EDM, trap, country, jazz, cinematic, k-pop and reggaeton, and you can type any free-text style. Moods are happy, sad, romantic, energetic, chill, epic, funny and dark. Vocal options are female, male or instrumental with no singing.

Can it copy a famous singer or recreate a hit song?

No. TuneSplit does not offer voice cloning or covers in a real singer's voice, and you should not ask for a specific artist's sound or an existing song. Describe the qualities instead, like breathy, gritty, bright or warm, plus the instruments and tempo, and the model will make something original.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. The generator is a web page, so it works in the mobile browser on iPhone and Android with nothing to install. The form, players and MP3 download all work on a phone. Rendering happens on our servers, so a modest phone is no problem, though a stable connection helps.

How is TuneSplit different from Suno or Udio?

Suno and Udio are strong tools with big communities. TuneSplit is smaller but lets you try a first song with no sign-up, returns two model versions per prompt, and sits next to a stem splitter, BPM finder, pitch changer and lyric video maker so you can keep working on the result. It does not try to match their public song libraries.

Can I split my generated song into stems?

Yes. Any song you make can be sent to the stem splitter. You get a free 30-second preview of the vocals, drums, bass and other parts, and Pro users can export full-length WAV stems for 20 credits. The separate free splitter also takes your own files, 3 a day, up to 10 minutes each.
