TuneSplit

An AIVA Alternative for Songs With Vocals

AIVA is built for composing: it generates music in hundreds of styles, lets you edit the result and exports MIDI. TuneSplit is built for finished songs: you describe a song or paste lyrics and get two versions, with a singer, in about a minute. They overlap on making music with AI and differ on almost everything else. Plan details below were read from AIVA's pricing page on 3 Nov 2026.

TuneSplit is an AIVA alternative if you want a finished song with vocals rather than a composition to edit. Describe a song or paste lyrics and get 2 versions in about a minute. Free use is 1 generation a day, songs up to 2 minutes, MP3 download, no sign-up. For commercial use, a one-time $4.90 pack gives 200 credits.

What AIVA does well

AIVA describes itself as an AI music generation assistant. Its pages list generation in more than 250 styles, your own style models, an audio or MIDI file as an influence, an editor for generated tracks, and download in several file formats. Its free plan and Pro plan both offer MIDI, which matters if you want to take a composition into a DAW and change the notes. Pro also offers WAV and gives you the copyright of what you make.

If you are a composer, game developer or film maker who wants to shape the arrangement and own the result, AIVA is aimed at you. TuneSplit does not export MIDI, has no track editor and cannot assign copyright to you.

AIVA's monthly-billing prices were not captured in our check, so only the annual prices are shown. The two services count differently: AIVA counts downloads of a track, TuneSplit counts credits per generation. Check each site for current prices before you buy.

Songs with vocals versus compositions

AIVA's pages talk about compositions, styles and MIDI, and we did not see vocals or lyrics listed there. TuneSplit's main output is a song with a singer: you give it a prompt or your own lyrics and it returns a sung track, plus an instrumental option. That is the real divide. For instrumental underscore that you want to edit note by note, AIVA's workflow is more suited. For a birthday song, a demo with lyrics or a jingle, a sung result in a minute is the point.

You can also take a TuneSplit song into the stem splitter for vocals, drums, bass and other, and into the BPM and key finder, all on the same site.

Rights, in plain words

The biggest practical difference is who owns what. On AIVA's free plan the page says the copyright is owned by AIVA and you may not monetize; on Pro you own it. TuneSplit does not transfer copyright. Free tracks are for personal use, and tracks made with purchased credits come with a commercial licence to use them, for example in monetised videos. If you need to own the copyright outright, read AIVA's licensing page and TuneSplit's terms and decide with that in mind.

Which to choose

  • Choose AIVA to edit a composition, export MIDI, train a style or own the copyright on Pro.
  • Choose TuneSplit for sung songs from a prompt or lyrics, a free daily try with no account, and one-time packs instead of a subscription.
  • Choose either for background music, then check the licence for how you will use it.

Frequently asked questions

What is a free AIVA alternative?

TuneSplit makes songs with vocals from a prompt or your lyrics. Free use is 1 generation (2 versions) a day, up to 2 minutes, with an MP3 download and no sign-up. Free tracks are for personal use.

Does AIVA have a free plan?

Yes. On 3 Nov 2026 its pricing page listed Free forever at EUR 0 with 3 downloads a month, tracks up to 3 minutes, MP3 and MIDI, copyright owned by AIVA, credit to AIVA required and no monetization.

How much is AIVA Pro?

Its pricing page showed EUR 33 a month billed annually, excluding VAT, with 300 downloads a month, durations up to 5 minutes 30 seconds, WAV and all formats, and the copyright owned by you.

Does TuneSplit export MIDI?

No. TuneSplit returns audio (MP3, and WAV stems for songs you split). If you need MIDI or an editable composition, AIVA offers that.

Can I use TuneSplit songs commercially?

Tracks made with purchased credits carry a commercial licence, for example for monetised videos. Free-allowance tracks are personal use. TuneSplit does not transfer copyright.

Can TuneSplit make instrumental music like AIVA?

Yes. Set the vocal to instrumental and describe the mood. You get 2 versions. It has no note-level editor.

How are the two priced differently?

AIVA limits downloads per month on a subscription. TuneSplit uses credits: 10 credits per generation, with one-time packs from $4.90 for 200 credits and a $9.90 a month Pro plan.
