What happens when you press Create
The text you type is turned into a short brief that describes genre, mood, tempo feel and subject. If you did not give lyrics, the model writes them. A music model then generates the full track, including the singing, and returns two versions so you can compare.
TuneSplit uses MiniMax Music v2 and ACE-Step. A generation costs 10 credits, and the free tier gives 30 credits a day, so you get 3 generations and 6 songs. Free songs can be up to 2 minutes; paid plans allow longer songs.
Write a prompt that works
The describe box is the quickest way in. A good prompt has three parts: a genre or era, a mood, and a concrete subject. Compare these two.
| Prompt | What you tend to get |
|---|---|
| A happy song | A generic upbeat track with vague lyrics |
| A summer love song about meeting on a night train to Lisbon | A warm, story-led song with train and city imagery |
| Slow indie folk, tired and hopeful, about moving back to my hometown | A quiet acoustic arrangement with a clear theme |
| Lo-fi hip-hop instrumental, rainy night, study | A calm beat; choose Instrumental for no vocals |
Names of real artists and copyrighted characters are best avoided. Describe the sound instead, for example breathy female vocal over soft synths.
Use your own lyrics
If you already have words, open Advanced and switch to the My lyrics tab. Paste up to 3000 characters. Mark parts with [Verse], [Chorus] and [Bridge] tags so the model knows the structure. The title is optional.
- Keep lines short and similar in length so they are easy to sing.
- Repeat the chorus: models handle repetition well, and it helps the song feel finished.
- Do not paste copyrighted lyrics you do not own.
- Need a draft? The lyrics helper gives you 5 free drafts a day.
In Advanced you can also type a style, pick a mood chip (Auto is the default), and choose Female vocal, Male vocal or Instrumental. The Templates tab has ready-made starting points.

What to do with the song afterwards
Once you have a take you like, you can keep working on it. Split it into vocals, drums, bass and other with the stem splitter to remix it or practise along. Turn it into a lyric video for Reels, TikTok or YouTube with the lyric video maker. Find its tempo and key with the BPM and key finder if you want to mix it with other tracks. All of these tools are on this site, and the BPM, key, pitch and lyric video tools run in your browser without uploading anything.
If the song is not right
- Too generic: add a concrete scene and a specific style.
- Wrong mood: choose a mood chip instead of Auto.
- Words are hard to understand: shorten the lyrics and remove hard-to-sing lines.
- Wrong voice: switch Female vocal, Male vocal or Instrumental and try again.
- Out of credits: the free credits reset each UTC day; paid plans add more.
Songs from the free tier are for personal use. For commercial use, check the plan terms before you publish.
